API Integration Consultant

Role definition – key responsibilities

There is an opportunity for a API Integration Consultant to join a segment of the business that supports clients and client developers during integration into their platform of Customer & Third Party Risk Solution products  via API or data feeds, which enables the global financial community to fulfil regulations designed to combat financial crime. The Customer & Third Party Risk Solutions business is well established with a strong client base and experiencing significant growth globally. We are currently expanding our Implementation team to meet the needs of our clients.

 

Role Responsibilities

 

The overall objective of this role is to ensure best use of Customer & Third Party Risk Solution API and data feed products for our clients to ensure client retention and optimise revenues.

• Understands client requirements and use-cases for our products and provides proactive onboarding through integration discussions.
• Rapid knowledge transfer of product related technical capabilities and best practices.
• Executes on multiple customer implementation projects in parallel.
• Updates client onboarding, planning, and time tracking systems to provide visibility to line management.
• Collaboratively works with the global sales team in a culture of continued improvement, knowledge sharing and ongoing success.
• Ability to travel to client sites when required.
• Provide updates on new data elements introduced into the products and advise on further product strategy.
• Provides feedback to internal teams with a view of driving future product improvements.
• The role holder should be self-starters and work well independently having the ability to actively carry out research and investigative work using their own initiative.

Required Technical /Professional Skills & Competencies

 

Customer Focus

• Excellent customer focus, ability to assess customer needs and work with client requirements.
• Ability to work on tight deadlines.
• Strong consulting skills – presenting, leading workshops, demonstrating, and explaining complex functionality or solutions to customers.

Domain Knowledge

• Understanding of financial crime and AML preferred.
• Understands the types of Regulation and Legislation that necessitate and affect the use of Refinitiv’ s World-Check product range

 

Skills

Essential:

• Experience with HTML, JSON, XML, SQL, REST API / Web services etc.
• Experience in designing workflows to solve business and technical problems.
• Basic understanding of software development
• The ability to communicate technical concepts at the appropriate level of details to both developers and non-technical stakeholders
• English proficiency

 

Desirable

 

• Experience in designing workflows to solve business and technical problems.
• Basic knowledge of Amazon Web Services(AWS) platform
• Basic understanding internet networks and protocols e.g. TCP/IP, HTTP, DNS, TLS/SSL

 

Education/ Certifications

 

Degree level.
