Shift: Monday to Friday de 6:00 am a 3:00 pm.

Summary: Under direction of the Design Engineer. Design and detail product component and assembly drawings. CAD draftsman is also responsible for all new drawings based on different SAMTEC product families, modification to existing products and all assembly tooling prints.

Essential Functions/ Responsibilities:

1. Work with the Design Engineer on Preliminary product design. The draftsman is responsible to create and detail prints.
2. Create and keeping track of the ECN (Engineer change notes) to guarantee all the changes are being tracked by SAMTEC system; ensuring the related groups are approving each new ECN.
3. Responsible of “on-time delivery” and quality of all drawing requests.
4. Coordinate with the engineering group the CAD queue and drafting standards.
5. To keep abreast of changing technologies and management systems which have an impact in the CAD industry
6. Constantly involved in new projects, so be creative is essential.
7. Provide drafting support for all other departments.

Required experience:

• 2-3 years of experience in similar positions.

Preferred Education:

• Drafter Technician, Toolmaker, Bachelor’s degree in Electromechanical Engineering or in progress or related field.
• Knowledge in SolidWorks (must).
• English Technical Medium level.
• CSWA/ CSWP certificates completed (plus).
