Shift: ADM-Monday to Friday from 6:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Job Summary: As a Junior Web Designer at Samtec you will assist in the look, layout, feel, and functionality of our website and all web applications we are developing. You will work on developing new web applications and enhancing our existing Web projects.

You will work closely with our stakeholders, developers and other design team members to develop specifications and make adjustments regarding the use of new and emerging Web technologies.

Key responsibilities:
1. Establishing design guidelines, standards, and best practices.

2. Maintaining the appearance of the website and applications by enforcing content standards.

3. Designing visual imagery for the website and ensuring they are inline with Samtec branding.

4. Communicating design ideas via user flows, wireframes and high-fidelity mock-ups.

5. Incorporating functionalities and features into the website.

6. Create website layout and user interface via HTML / CSS and various design frameworks.

7. Working closely with back-end developers to implement new software and web applications.

8. Communicating regularly with all members of the web team to keep projects moving.

9. High level of proficiency with verbal and written English language communication.

Required experience:

• 3+ Years’ experience in creating websites, graphic design, and digital marketing materials using the latest HTML5, CSS (Sass), and JavaScript technologies.
• Experience creating responsive websites that function across all device types.
• Experience in both PC and MAC platforms is desired.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud applications.
• Must be able to handle multiple projects simultaneously as priorities can change very quickly.
• Have very good communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Excellent time management skills to balance multiple projects and deliver tasks on time.

 
Desired experience:
1. Experience working in an Agile environment is a plus.
2. Experience working with GIT version control is a plus.
3. Experience working with Figma or any similar interface design tool is a plus.
4. Experience using Slack to communicate with team members is a plus.
