Manager, Payroll LATAM

Responsibilities: 

  • Lead and manage the payroll team of 3 staff by maintaining WFS payroll deadlines.
  • Ability to process payrolls across Latin American region for 7 countries.
  • Review payroll data of other members of the Payroll team before signing off.
  • Ability to liaise with stakeholders and manage expectations by ensuring service levels are met and act as the point of contact for any escalated payroll queries.
  • Maintain close communication with workers unions.
  • Administer the Year End tax filings and disbursement of employee forms for all applicable countries.
  • Administer Expatriate related payroll activities and coordinate with external tax vendors as needed.
  • Maintain the LATAM shared Payroll Inbox, working to a maximum 24 hour response time ; supporting employees with any pay-related queries. 
  • Support all relevant Finance/Accounting teams with reconciliations or general Payroll queries by maintaining an accurate General Ledger journal entries (salaries, pension, taxes, and social security) into Oracle financials at a company and employee level.
  • File and label all confidential correspondence in ‘Box’ accordance with Data Security legal requirements and company policies whilst maintaining WFS Documentation retention policies.
  • Maintain SOX controls and coordinate annual testing and reporting with Internal / External Auditors.
  • Ability to articulate complicated information to non-Payroll experts.
  • Mentors, coaches, and develops employees through orientation, training, establishment of objectives, communication of policies and rules, and constructive discipline; builds morale and motivation; enabling high level of retention within the team.
  • Lead continuous process improvements by utilizing new and existing technologies (i.e., automation and robotics)

 

Requirements: 

  • Degree level or possess an equivalent level qualification
  • 5-6 years experience in Payroll is essential
  • 3-5 years of experience leading the Payroll process for the LATAM region.
  • Previous experience leading team members is required
  • Advanced knowledge of English language is essential
  • Knowledge on Safeguard, ADP Streamline, ADP Expert and WORKDAY systems highly desirable
  • International experience is preferable
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong planning and organizational skills
  • Must have strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Use of Microsoft Office Suite including Word, PowerPoint, Access, Excel and Outlook, and willingness to experiment and work with new technologies
