Shift: Monday to Saturday de 6:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.

Summary: The HDR Maintenance team is seeking a new Maintenance Technician Coordinator for the HDR area interested in collaborating in a high-performance team while providing an outstanding customer experience and keeping Samtec’s DNA focus. The position will require the applicant to provide technical support on machine maintenance, verifications, setups, troubleshooting, and proper escalation of issues and coordinate the maintenance team.

Essential Functions/ Responsibilities:

1. Coordinate the schedule for the technical group to ensure maintenance coverage of the operation. 
2. Coordinate proper training for technicians.
3. Responsible for coordinating preventative maintenance for all machinery as needed. 
4. Collaborate with the engineering, quality, and Operations team to improve the overall performance of the maintenance processes. Collaborate with both local and global teams.
5. Responsible for staff management, including discipline, performance evaluations, vacations, payroll, etc. 
6. Responsible for the continuous improvement review of the maintenance processes.
7. Support the operations technically when needed. It could involve handling hazardous materials. 
8. Request and follow-up on essential spares needed for the equipment through the proper purchasing groups. 
9. Schedule monthly meetings with the direct reports to review general and specific topics. 
10. Create and maintain technical documentation (WI, PMs, and Manuals).
11. Technical support for production equipment (Mechanical, electric, electronic, etc.)
12. Must lift weights (50 pounds) and sit for long periods. 
13. Use the safety equipment required to perform your duties (earplugs, safety glasses, and other protective equipment) 
14. Any other job-related functions as requested by the technical manager.

Requirements:

• 3-5 years of experience in similar positions.
• Formal Technical Education as Electro-Mechanic, Machinist, Electrotechnical, Mechanic, or Industrial Maintenance.
• Proficient written and oral communication skills (English and Spanish).
• Great teamwork(member/leader) & communication skills
• Proactive & eager to improve.
• Proficient when working under pressure.
