Our  customs control towers are pivotal to our supply chain operations, ensuring smooth customs clearance and legal customs compliance within a region.  As we are expanding this service, a new Control Tower for NALA is being established as part of our Global Business Services.  As the Control Tower Lead, you will be involved from the start to define the work-process and build a team of operational customs experts with whom you will manage the day-to-day customs clearance operations for North-America.
You will collaborate closely with our internal regional Customs teams as well as externally with brokers, IT  and be an integral part of our touchless customs operations.

The work may entail some of the following:

• Build, lead  and develop a team of customs & trade compliance professionals

• Work with a multi-national project team on establishing a touchless customs process in NA

• Define the customs work-processes alongside our tools for customs process automation and data analytics

• Coordinate and ensure accurate and timely submission of customs declarations and documentation to our customs brokers in NA

• Create and monitor KPIs to measure efficiency and effectiveness of the customs operations

• Track and monitor the data flow between the internal and external parties

Job Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in a related field; advanced degree or professional certification eg. Certified Customs Specialist is a plus

• 2+ years of experience in customs and trade compliance preferred

• Excellent visionary, strategic and courageous leadership skills

• Problem solving via innovation & creativity

• Strong thinking/problem-solving skills which can be applied to business processes with a «can-do» attitude

• Ability to collaborate effectively within a multicultural environment
