Overview of the job
This is a hands-on, fully in-sourced, technical, individual contributor role.
This role will support a set of Products being used for Agile & DevOps and reducing toil within the Operations’ processes and products scope.
The Agile & DevOps Solutions organization will activate and accelerate P&G’s Digital for Growth and Value strategy and will enable DevOps maturity in P&G by providing upskilling and platform agnostic centralized tools, processes, and services.
This role is a member of a lean and young organization (3 years from its creation), with 1/3 of the organization’s population located in San Jose, Costa Rica.
This role is required to be in the office twice per week & has a flexible time zone shif (the peak hours are accommodated).

•Operations’ SLO, SLI, SLA are met.
• Process Improvement and/or Automation enabled productivity savings and/or quality increases.
•Support processes are established for new Products with Quality and within Time.
IMPORTANT RESPONSIBILITIES :
(1) In-source and Build the Operational support for new Products
(2) Establishing foundation, methodologies, and framework for implementation of IT Operations, including industry benchmarking, certification guidance, skills needed, training material, COP facilitating, learning paths. Key goals are empowering and upskilling IT Operations Engineers and Managers to modernize IT Ops.
(3) Join and represent Operations into Proof-of-Concept exercises
(4) Support the new and existing Products based on agreed SLO, SLI, SLA.
(5) Identifying where to play areas, including areas of operations to not play into e.g. small value/impact or not scalable processes.
(6) Documenting and creating “playbooks” or instruction steps and activities which can partially or fully automate the key activities, handling of events depending on thresholds, up to resolution. This could be done via creation of new solutions or leveraging existing solutions. Example: Defined environmental metrics which will trigger alerts, and automatic fail over of the server.
(7) Providing guidance to Activation, Product, and Engineering members in relation to supportability, scalability, and efficiency with products and tools in the organization’s portfolio.
Job Qualifications
PROCESS and METHODOLOGY QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems, Information Technology (IT), Computer Science, Engineering.
English B2+
2+ years of experience in Software Development. This includes frameworks and concepts for application development (DevOps: Agile/Scrum, Product Management, CI/CD; API; micro-services).
Must understand Service Management concept (ITIL), specifically on Service Level Management, Release, Event, Incident, Problem, Capacity and Performance Management practices.
Willingness to learn how to reduce toil such as Value Stream Mapping, Lean Six Sigma &
Willingness to learn concepts such as TDD Test Driven Development, Fuzzing, SRE Site Reliability Engineering, Chaos Engineering.
TECHNICAL QUALIFICATIONS
Technical knowledge in CI/CD: Build, Test, Deploy, Operate, Monitor phases.
Willingness to learn (and can demonstrate later) containers, functions/serverless computing.
Must have analytical skills to mine operational data and assess what impacts operational important metrics.
