Workday Senior Developer&Tech Lead

Since 10 years ago from Costa Rica we managed North-American clients from Financial, Industry and Insurance fields.

We are looking for a passionate Workday Senior / Lead Application Developer Specialist, HRIT to design, develop and deploy software solutions. Responsibilities include gathering user requirements, defining system functionality, and writing code within the Workday HCM (HR) Platform.

A Day in this Role:

  • Serves as a technical specialist for Workday HCM platform. 
  • Collaborate with the development of new features, enhancements and fix existing system bugs.
  • Interact constant and dynamically with BA’s, QA’s and other peer to clarify business requirements.
  • Development of high-quality solutions in the Workday platform
  • Provide support to current existing Workday HCM applications .
  • Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade existing Workday solutions
  • Write well-designed,  scalable, and testable code.
  • Design software solutions that efficiently fit in a existent application ecosystem.
  • Have ability to drive projects from inception to completion on the technical side.
  • Advise on software development best practices
  • Lead technical design and code reviews to drive projects towards the best results
  • 3-5 years of experience in Workday
  • BSc degree in Computer Science, Engineering or relevant field
  • Demonstrable work experience in Workday Platform development
  • Deep knowledge on HCM module , integrations and automations
  • Proficient in Workday configurations and customizations as well as :
    • Calculated fields
    • Custom Reports
    • EIB’s
    • Document Transformation
    • Workday Studio
    • Web Services
    • PICOF’s
    • Ability to work closely with 3rd party vendors to define system requirements and solve issues with existing integrations.
    • Create and maintain Cloud Connect Integrations.

 

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to explain complex methodologies and results to the technical team.
  • Should be able to eventually lead, own, and drive projects from start to end, including leading other resources of similar or less experience
  • Be familiar with the software development life cycle (SDLC) from preliminary system analysis to tests and deployment.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies
  • Ability to understand and troubleshoot existing code and maintain existing applications.
  • Ability to identity performance bottlenecks.
  • Knowledge in the Workday architecture to design solutions and integrations with legacy systems
  • Ability to assess the impact of new requirements on Workday, all applications, systems and processes;
  • Knowledge with data modeling and modeling of business flows
  • Knowledge of Workday best practices, features and limitations.

Desired or Nice to Have or  Expertise:

  • Business knowledge in financial areas such as Capital Markets, Private Equity and Asset Management
  • Knowledge on Financial , Analytics and/or Planning Workday modules.
  • Experience working with version control tools such as GIT and CI/CD tools like Team City/Jenkins/Octopus
