A Back-End Developer has a lot of experience under their belt. They will be independently productive and will be able to tackle most tasks on their own or understand when they need to reach out for help. Their primary responsibility will be to design and develop the assigned applications and to coordinate with the rest of the team working on different layers of the infrastructure. Thus, a commitment to collaborative problem solving, sophisticated design, and product quality are essential.

The Job…

• Write well designed, testable, efficient code by using best software development practices.

• Create a web application layout/user interface by using JSF or standard HTML/CSS practices.

• Integrate data from various back-end services and databases.

• Gather and refine specifications and requirements based on technical needs.

• Create and maintain software documentation.

• Be responsible for maintaining, expanding, and scaling our systems.

• Stay plugged into emerging technologies/industry trends and apply them into operations and activities.

• Cooperate with UI devs to match visual design intent

 

You…

• 1-5 years of experience as a back-end developer

• Experience with GIT, Cache frameworks, and  Queuing frameworks

• Docker (basic exposure)

• Unit Testing (JUnit, unit test)

• Core Java

• Design Patterns

• Microservices

• Agile Development Methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban

• Web services (REST and SOAP, Creating API endpoints)

• Application Server experience (Jboss, Wildfly)

• Exposure to JSF, HTML5, CSS3, Javascript

• Strong Data Skillset (SQL, Postgres, JSON, No-SQL DBs)

• BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject
