The Big Data Engineer will be part of the Corporate Services Alliance implementing and supporting data pipelines on a Google Cloud Ecosystem, you will find a great place to work if you are passionate about designing data migration projects, learning new technologies, proposing and adopting new technologies.

What you’ll do

• Development, enhancement, and support of data ingestion jobs from various source systems following existing design patterns.
• Modify data extraction pipelines into a standardized approach that can be repeatable and reusable with minimal supervision from senior engineers
• Identify and help to resolve performance issues with appropriate technical solutions.
• Work with senior engineers to make Data more accessible to others within an organization.
• Identify internal process improvements and work with Senior Engineers under minimal supervision to achieve automation of manual processes, optimize data delivery, re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability, etc.
• Take decisions within the company guidelines over daily assignments.
• Deliver small assignments in a timely manner.
• Perform general application development activities.

What experience you need 

•  2+ years experience with Java or Scala, SQL, and Python
•  2+ years of experience working with ETL (Extract, Transform, and Load) procedures
•  2+ years of experience working with Big Data technologies such as HDFS or Spark
• English level B2 or above
